July 28th Little Caylee has been gone for almost one month already and as one life ended, another begins in the circle of life here on the Farm. One of our hens managed to hide her nest from us, outside the safety of the chicken coop and hatched five little chicks. In this picture they are already old enough that she feels comfortable to introduce them to the rest of the flock.

After a week of stifling heat and humidity, long days of hard work and sweat, the hay barn is filled to the rafters with new hay. What a good feeling it is. |
